Consultation/Deposit Fees
I charge a $100 non-refundable consultation/design fee for all custom orders, which will be applied toward the final purchase. This initial phase includes a consultation meeting and 1-2 rounds of design ideas/mock-ups. At the end of this phase, I will collect a 50% payment based on the estimate provided for the final piece of jewelry. With this payment, the client agrees to let me begin production of the custom piece.
The remaining balance will be charged upon completion of the piece and approval from the client. Written approval will be required. Jewelry will be shipped after receiving the final balance.

Delivery
You are ordering a custom piece which takes time from design to delivery of your finished piece. Custom orders will normally take 6-8 weeks for delivery from the moment I start working on your order. If you need it sooner than the normal delivery, please let me know up front so the schedule can be adjusted.

Cancellation
For an order cancellation after production begins, the client agrees that they are responsible for any non-recoverable costs for the piece. The $100 design fee and deposit will not be returned.

Custom-designed pieces are non-returnable.
At the discretion of Anvil Fire and Time Jewelry, a custom-made piece will be repaired or replaced if any manufacturer defects are found in the first 12 months from the date of the purchase. Normal wear and tear and customer abuse is not covered under warranty.

How do I get started with a custom design?
To start with a custom project, please fill out this form. From there, I will reach out to discuss budget, materials, and next steps. Design consultations may be required depending on the complexity of the piece required. These consultations are $100 and last approximately an hour, and take place via Zoom.
I try to work with each of my clients to design a piece that fits their budget, however my minimum price for a custom piece of jewelry is $1,000.
How long do custom pieces take?
Please allow 6-8 weeks for all custom pieces. Rush order requests are evaluated on a case by case basis and will be subject to a surcharge.
Can I provide my own stones?
You can provide your own gemstones, but they will be assessed in the studio before use for quality, chips or cracks that may prevent their use. An additional fee may be charged for unsetting the stones from their original setting.
If a diamond or precious stone has to be purchased for the piece, the full cost of the stone will also be charged in the deposit.
Do you reuse metals from other pieces?
At this time, I reuse only sterling silver and yellow gold provided by a customer for new pieces.
How will you send my jewelry?
Jewelry can be picked up in person or mailed. All mailed items will be sent through USPS, FedEx, or UPS, and will be insured based on the retail value of the piece. A signature will be required for all mailed items.
